Karl Lagerfeld in Vogue

Karl Lagerfeld’s ‘Secret Ball’, British Vogue, December 2008

The latest issue of British Vogue is pure delight. Early Christmas treat. A gorgeous issue with a sensual Kate Moss in golden Dior Couture on the cover, and fabulous editorials inside, including fairytales stories by Tim Walker.

And also, a sumptuous series of fashion illustrations by Karl Lagerfeld, as the one above: the story of a mysterious ball hosted by an unnamed Russian lady, where guests wear the most beautiful and surreal outfits and masks.

Karl Lagerfeld painting glamourous characters in Junya Watanabe, Marios Schwab, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and even Gareth Pugh… What else could we ask for?

The multi-talented genius famous for his inexhaustible culture, speech and ego is showing yet another of his beautiful craft. Eye-candy for fashion illustration lovers like me.
